Welcome to Akhal Valley Farms!
Let us introduce you to the oldest breed of sport horse.
Here at Akhal Valley Farms we pride ourselves on breeding, promoting, and competing performance Akhal Teke Sport Horses. We breed a modest number of horses each year, so that we can hand raise them to prepare them for the world of competitive equine sport. Each of our special foals are bred and raised with with a focus on the sports of Dressage, Show Jumping, and Eventing. We currently have one stallion standing stud, Gerald the stunning nine year old chestnut stallion who has a proven performance record in both Eventing, and more currently, Dressage. The farm's mares carry proven world class performance bloodlines, and have also excelled in equine sport in their own right.
This little piece of heaven we call Akhal Valley Farms is situated in the heart of Beaver Valley, one of the most beautiful areas in central Ontario. From every part of the farm there are spectacular views of the Beaver Valley, Blue Mountain and Georgian Bay.
This area is lucky enough to host year around recreational activities, such as downhill and cross county skiing, water sports, golfing, cycling both on and off road, and endless hiking to give you an idea. With all this community has to offer it attracts people from all over to come and enjoy the treasures of the area . The farm is minutes from the small town of Clarksburg Ontario and a short drive to Collingwood Ontario. There are many local equine amenities including endless riding trails, fox hunting, shows of many disciplines and the Thornbury Horse Park, Cedar Run, only minutes away.
The land is second generation farm land that is now used to farm hay crops and house a modest number of horses. The horses on the farm enjoy large outdoor living to fully enjoy the views that surround them. Every year brings new improvements to our property as we work towards our never ending goal of equine bliss. From our house on top of the hill we enjoy overlooking the fields and creek running through the property all the way down to all the horses in their paddocks, and the beautiful vistas beyond.
